Our Story

OUT & ABOUT began with a simple frustration; that most travel is built on consumption, not connection. We wanted to create stays that respect land instead of using it. Not resorts. Not retreats. Just places built lightly and with intention.

Stay curious.

This is not a story about escape — but about reconnecting with what matters.

Make It

OUR FOUNDERS

OUT & ABOUT was founded by two regenerative entrepreneurs. Driven by a shared belief that travel should be lighter, more intentional, and closer to the world it depends on. We combine circular design with field-based thinking; not theory, but direct action in real landscapes.

BUILT TO BE ALIVE

We are devoted to redefining outdoor stays through circular design and wild simplicity. Our cabins, crafted from repurposed structures, invite travelers to disconnect, explore and reconnect. With nature as host, each stay blends sustainability, adventure and comfort into experiences that feel both grounding and extraordinary.

  • We recover decommissioned wind turbine nacelles from wind farms in Europe — usually 20–25 years old, approaching end of life.

  • On average, each repurposed nacelle prevents 5–10 tons of CO₂ compared to building an equivalent new cabin from raw materials.

  • We follow a strict carry-in, carry-out policy. Nothing is left on-site — no packaging, no consumables, no trace.
